IPL 2024: Foreign players reached Ayodhya before the start of the season. Now only a few hours are left for the start of the 17th season of the Indian Premier League. IPL 2024 will start on March 22.

Before this, all the players have joined their respective franchises and have also started practicing. Meanwhile, South African spinner Keshav Maharaj reached Ayodhya and had darshan of Ram Lala.

He has shared his picture on social media. In IPL 2024, Maharaj will be seen helping the batsmen of Lucknow Super Giants and will remain with the team for the entire season.

Maharaj is Very Religious:-

Keshav Maharaj is a very religious cricketer. He shared a picture on Instagram after visiting the Ram temple. In the caption accompanying the picture, the Proteas cricketer wrote, “Jai Shri Ram, blessings to all.”

Maharaj likes to listen to bhajans

At the beginning of this year itself, Keshav Maharaj had expressed his desire to visit the Ram temple. In the SA20, he is part of Lucknow Super Giants’ sister franchise Durban Super Giants.

It is often seen that when Maharaj comes on the field to bat, the hymn ‘Ram Siya Ram’ is played. On this Maharaj had said that this helps him concentrate.

Maharaj had said, “My faith in God is very strong. I always believe that God has given me perspective and guidance and put me in the position where I am today. I am always grateful and thankful. I am a devotee of Lord Hanuman and Lord Ram.”

Maharaj will Remain With LSG For The Entire Season:-

Keshav Maharaj remained unsold in the mini-auction held at the end of last year. His base price was Rs 50 lakh, but no franchise had placed a bet on him. Kesav will be a part of Lucknow Super Giants during IPL 2024.

He will train with LSG during the 17th season. Recently the franchise had said in a statement that Maharaj will not be a part of our official team. However, he will remain with the team for the entire season.
