IRE vs SA, 1st T20: South Africa scored 211 for five in 20 overs against Ireland on the back of Reeza Hendricks and Aiden Markram’s batting. After this, Ireland’s team also rained heavily for fours and sixes, but still lost the match by 21 runs.

IRE vs SA: First T20 match played on 3rd August at County Ground in Bristol :-
The first match of the two-match T20 International series between the two teams was played on 3 August at the County Ground in Bristol. Reeza scored 74 while Markram scored 56 runs. Reeza was adjudged man of the match.
Hendricks shared 112 runs for the third wicket with Markram :-
Hendrix, who was the hero of victory in the recent series against England, scored 74 runs in 53 balls during which he hit 10 fours and a six. The opener shared a 112-run partnership with Markram for the third wicket. Markram played a blistering innings of 56 runs in just 27 balls. Spin bowler Gareth Delaney dismissed Hendrix and Markram in successive deliveries in the 16th over.

Ireland gave fierce competition but could not win the match :-
IRE vs SA: In reply, Ireland’s team scored 190 for nine wickets. For him, the number three batsman Lorcan Tucker scored 78 off 38 balls while George Dockrell scored 43 runs. The second match of the series is to played on Friday.
