The men’s retainer structure has been changed:-

“To offer player contracts across all formats of cricket as compared to typical red or white ball contracts in previous years”, according to a statement from CWI.

This comes after the performance-assessment period from April 1, 2021, to March 31, 2022, supported by data from the 2019-2020 assessment period.

CWI said: “This allows all players to be assessing immediately after the evaluation period.
