Kim Hughes: Former Australia captain Kim Hughes believes Cameron Green will become the best all-rounder in the world.

Scored his maiden Test century in the final Test:-

Green on Friday hit his maiden Test century in the ongoing fourth and final Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Ahmedabad on the second day of the match.

Hughes, who has tracked Greens, said: “I have said for many years that if he keeps himself fit, he will be the best all-rounder in the world for a long time.

“The thing with him is that he is one of the few players in the world who can play well off the back foot. It is the art of batting. Good bowlers don’t bowl you half-volleys.”

“I’ve taught him the basics and he’s got a good balance. Because of so much white-ball cricket, most people, even in Test cricket, if you look at them from the side.

So his first step is to take this half step forward. Well, you’re bothering me. You can’t play on the back foot.”

Kim thinks that what sets Cameron apart is his ability to learn quickly.

Hughes said, “He picks up on things very quickly.” “And he was just a natural with his hand-eye coordination.
