KKR Mentor Gambhir Congratulated Iyer On Becoming Captain And Rana As Vice-Captain
IPL 2024: KKR mentor Gautam Gambhir congratulated Iyer on becoming captain and Rana as vice-captain. Gautam Gambhir, who has returned home, had earlier been the mentor of the Lucknow team.
Congratulations On Iyer Becoming Captain And Nitish Becoming Vice-Captain:-
Gautam Gambhir, who recently became the mentor of Kolkata Knight Riders, on Thursday congratulated Shreyas Iyer on becoming the captain and Nitish Rana as the vice-captain.

On Thursday, Kolkata Knight Riders put a full stop to the speculation by declaring Shreyas Iyer as their captain and Nitish Rana as their vice-captain for IPL 2024. Rana had led the team last year in the absence of injured Iyer.
Rana impressed with his aggressive leadership skills as KKR performed well in bits and pieces despite not having their biggest star for IPL 2024.
Captaincy Will Return To Shreyas Iyer:-
Before the IPL auction, KKR made it clear that the captaincy would return to Shreyas Iyer, which has been the case for a long time.
Recently, after recovering from injury, Shreyas performed brilliantly for India in the World Cup 2023. Now everyone will expect a similar performance from him in IPL.
Iyer scored 401 runs in 14 matches in his debut season for Kolkata Knight Riders. It will be a new environment for KKR in IPL 2024 as all eyes will be on how Iyer fares with head coach Chandrakant Pandit and mentor Gambhir.
Praised The Performance Of The Acting Captain Last Season
Shreyas Iyer welcomed Nitish Rana as vice-captain and praised the performance of the stand-in skipper last season. KKR finished 7th with 12 points and were 4 points away from reaching the playoffs.
