Lendl Simmons and Denesh Ramdin Retirement: Two West Indies legends Lendl Simmons and Denesh Ramdin announced their retirement from cricket on Monday. Wicketkeeper batsman Dinesh Ramdin announced his retirement on social media.

Lendl Simmons: Retired after being out of the team for a long time :-

Both these players were not part of the West Indies team. After being out of the team for a long time, the doors of 37-year-old Simmons and Ramdin to return to the West Indies team almost closed. After this both the players have announced their retirement.

Ramdin scored 2898 runs in 74 Tests for West Indies :-

Denesh Ramdin has scored 2898 runs in 74 Tests for West Indies. Apart from this, he has scored 2200 runs in 139 ODIs and 636 runs in 71 T20s. While Lendl Simmons has scored 278 runs in 8 Tests, 1958 runs in 68 ODIs and 1527 runs in 68 T20Is for West Indies. In bowling, he has taken one wicket each in Tests and ODIs, while in T20s he has taken six wickets.

Lendl Simmons: India was expelled from the 2016 World Cup:-

Lendl Simmons played the most memorable innings of his career in the semi-final match of the 2016 T20 World Cup. He scored 82 runs in 51 balls and got the Indian team out of the T20 World Cup. After this, Carlos Brathwaite made the Caribbean team champion for the second time by hitting four sixes in an over of Ben Stokes.

Simmons was initially injured and missed the opening match of the 2016 World Cup. After this Andre Fletcher was injured and Simmons returned to the team. He played an amazing innings in the first match itself.

Simmons also played many brilliant innings in IPL:-

Lendl Simmons has played many brilliant innings in IPL as well. He was part of the Mumbai Indians team. Apart from this, he has also been a part of Karachi Kings, Brisbane Heat, Trinbago Knight Riders team in different T20 leagues.

Dinesh Ramdin did not do anything special in T20 league :-

Wicket-keeper batsman Dinesh Ramdin did not do anything special in the T20 league. He didn’t even play in the IPL, but he played many memorable innings in Tests. This includes four centuries and 15 half-centuries.
