LPL 2023: Pakistan captain and Colombo Strikers batsman Babar Azam won the hearts of the fans. Babar has continued his “No Betting Aid” clause in the Lanka Premier League 2023.

There is a “no betting aid” clause on the batsman’s contract:-

The 28-year-old batsman has a “no betting ad” clause in his contract and was seen sharing his belief in it.

The first match of LPL 2023 against Jaffna Kings saw Azam playing for the Strikers without the betting label on his jersey and helmet.

Earlier, Babar Azam had made it clear that he would not promote betting as it is considered anti-Islamic.

However, the brand was promoted in the country as a means of surrogate advertising to quell any hue and cry over the issue.

As far as the Lanka Premier League is concerned, the opening game of this season saw Colombo Strikers take on Jaffna Kings.

Babar Azam had a poor performance for the Strikers, managing only 7 runs in 8 balls, including a four.
