LPL 2023: Sri Lanka Announced The Complete Schedule Of The Lanka Premier League 2023

LPL 2023: The Sri Lanka Cricket Board on Sunday announced the complete schedule of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2023. The fourth edition of the top-tier league begins on Sunday, July 30, comprising 24 matches.

The Opening matches will be held in Colombo:-

The final match of this tournament will be played on 20 August 2023. Three-time winners and defending champions Jaffna Kings will take on R.K. Premadasa will take on Colombo Strikers at the International Cricket Stadium.

Notably, the first few matches will be played in Colombo, followed by the rest at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy.

The title match of the league including the knockout stage will again be held in Colombo. Apart from this, a reserve day has also been kept and if any unfortunate situation arises, the final will be played on Monday 21 August.

LPL 2023 Format will be similar to IPL:-

A total of 5 teams will play each other in the league matches. Jaffna Kings, Colombo Strikers, B-Luv Candy, Dambulla Aura, and Galle Titans – these are the names of these 5 teams.

The top 4 teams who will be at the top of the points table of the Lanka Premier League will play Qualifier 1 and Eliminator among themselves. It will be played in the format of the complete Indian Premier League.
