Rahul achieved this big achievement in the Eliminator match of IPL 2022 while playing against Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Wednesday.

Rahul broke this big record after scoring 79 runs in 58 balls against the Faf du Plessis-led RCB team.

The 661 runs in 15 matches of the IPL 2022 season:-

The right-handed opener has scored 661 runs in 15 matches of the IPL 2022 season.

Before this year’s edition, the top-order batsman had scored 626 runs in 13 matches of the 2021 edition, 670 runs in 14 matches of the 2020 season, and 659 runs in the 2018 edition of the cash-rich league.

West Indies great Chris Gayle and Australian opener David Warner have scored over 600 runs in IPL in three different seasons and are now second on the list.

The Part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore Franchise:-

Gayle crossed the 600-run mark in three consecutive years (2011, 2012, 2013) while he was a part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore franchise.

David Warner, on the other hand, also achieved the milestone in three consecutive seasons from 2016 to 2019 as the captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Coming to the match between RCB and LSG, Rajat Patidar starred for Royal Challengers Bangalore. As they beat Lucknow Super Giants by 14 runs in the Eliminator Clash of IPL 2022 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Wednesday.

With this win, RCB will take on Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier 2 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Friday to book a place in the final against Gujarat Titans.
