Matt Henry: The New Zealand fast bowler has been signed by Somerset for the 2023 season. Henry will be available to play seven matches in the County Championship and the entire T20 Blast.

Strengthened their bowling attack:-

Somerset has strengthened their bowling attack by signing New Zealand pacer Matt Henry for the 2023 season.

Henry will join the team after the conclusion of the ODI series in Pakistan and will begin his stint with the Championship match against Lancashire on 11 May.

While he has played just 89 matches across all formats for New Zealand so far, Henry was instrumental in his country’s run to the World Cup final in 2019.

The 31-year-old previously did well for Kent in the County Championship and has also played for Derbyshire and Worcestershire.

He has taken 388 wickets in first-class cricket and 102 wickets in the T20 format at an impressive average of 24.02.
