Melbourne Stars Re-Sign Tom O’Connell And Sam Elliott For The Upcoming BBL Season

The Melbourne Stars have re-signed Tom O’Connell and Sam Elliott for the upcoming season of the Big Bash League (BBL).

Participated in the tournament for Stars Academy:-

O’Connell has been associated with the Stars since 2018 and has risen up the ranks of Victorian cricket with his all-round performances.

He recently participated in the Top End T20 tournament in Darwin for Stars Academy, making it to the finals of the competition.

In his eight-match BBL career, the leg-spinner has taken five wickets since making his debut in the 2018–19 edition.

Elliott is an out-and-out fast bowler who made his BBL debut for the Stars last season. However, he went without a wicket in both matches. The 23-year-old Victoria has featured in 3 List-A appearances for the second XI.

“It’s great to re-sign with the stars and continue to learn from Glenn Maxwell, Adam Zampa, and Marcus Stoinis. I’m really looking forward to the season ahead and, it’s always nice to wear the stars’ uniforms.”

Sam is excited to Play Trent Boult:-

“After having a taste of BBL last season, I am excited to be back at STARS for BBL|12. I am looking forward to working with the coaches again and I can’t wait to learn as much as I can One of the best fast bowlers in the world is Trent Boult.”

The Stars made their BBL 12 debut against Sydney Thunder on 13 December.
