He said, ‘This award is a dream for him. People’s lives pass and they are not able to win this award. I am happy that I was nominated for this.

For me, receiving this award is like a dream come true. I have seen people getting this award my whole life, now I am at that stage myself.
Shami was also recently named ODI Cricketer of the Year by the ICC for 2023.
Mohammed Shami is currently out of the team after his excellent performance in the World Cup 2023. He is struggling with injury. He is out of the Australia series, the South Africa tour, and now the Afghanistan series also.
There are reports that he may be out of the first two matches of the five-match Test series against England starting on January 25.
