Dhoni had reached Chennai on Friday, where many fans from the airport to his event came to see their favorite. It was being said about Dhoni in 2020 that he is playing the last IPL.

But he himself confirmed that he wants to play his last season in Chennai. Since then, Chennai has not been able to have any IPL matches at its home ground, but this wait of the fans is coming to an end next year.

MS Dhoni IPL 2023: MS Dhoni said in the Chennai event that the team is coming to Chepauk next season. As he spoke, the whole hall erupted with applause and noise, Dhoni also had a smile on his face.

That is, next year the team will play the match at their home ground. Earlier, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has confirmed that IPL 2023 will be played in the home and away format.

Dhoni will return to Chennai after 4 Years:-

Mahendra Singh Dhoni played his last match against Mumbai on 7 May 2019 at his IPL home ground. In this he was not out after scoring 37 runs.

Dhoni played a total of 54 matches at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. His highest innings score here is 75 runs, which he played against Rajasthan Royals on 31 March 2019. Here Dhoni has played half-century innings 7 times.

Dhoni’s IPL Career:-

Talking about Dhoni’s IPL career, he has taken over the command of Chennai Super Kings from the first season. Dhoni definitely left the IPL captaincy last year.

But after the poor performance of the team, he had to take over the captaincy again. Dhoni made the Chennai Super Kings champion 4 times.

Talking about Dhoni’s batting, he has scored 4978 runs in 206 innings of 234 matches. Dhoni has scored 24 fifties in IPL.
