MI vs CSK: MS Dhoni will be honored at Wankhede’s Victory Memorial in Mumbai. The next match of Chennai Super Kings is with Mumbai Indians.

The game at Wankhede Cricket Stadium, Mumbai on 8th April:-

This match will be played on April 8 at the Wankhede Cricket Stadium in Mumbai. MS Dhoni will be honored here before the match.

A memorial (Memorial at Wankhede Cricket Stadium) will be built on the same stand where Dhoni hit the winning six in the 2011 Cricket World Cup final.

12 years ago on 2 April (2011) India won its second World Cup. Team India became the champion after defeating Sri Lanka in the final.

MS Dhoni hit the winning sixer, which is etched in the memory of every cricket fan. The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) will reserve the seat where he went six. In memory of that moment, a memorial will also be built on that stand.

MS Dhoni will be honored:-

Match number 12 of the Indian Premier League will take place between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhede Stadium. It will be after a long time when Dhoni will come to Wankhede.

Dhoni will be honored at the stadium on the occasion of winning the World Cup to India, and becoming a memorial. The proposal to build a memorial at Wankhede was given in 2020.

MCA Apex Council decided:-

Mumbai Cricket Association President Amol Kale told NNI- The MCA Apex Council has decided that a memorial will be built at the Wankhede Stands to celebrate the 2011 victory in a small way.

This memorial will be built on the stand where Dhoni fell after going for the winning six. We would request Dhoni to inaugurate the memorial himself.

It is expected to be inaugurated on April 8 when Dhoni will be at Wankhede for the match, although it is not finalized yet.
