The Captain Has Become The First Indian Captain To Play The Most Innings:-

Suryakumar Yadav also achieved a special achievement during the match. He has become the first Indian captain to play the most innings as captain against South Africa in the T20 format on their soil.

Before him, this special achievement was recorded in the name of former country captain MS Dhoni. 16 years ago i.e. in the year 2007, Mahi had played an inning of 45 runs for the Blue Team as captain on African soil.

Captain Played A Brilliant Half-Century Innings Of 56 Runs:-

However, Suryakumar Yadav has now left Mahendra Singh Dhoni behind. Yesterday, as captain, he played a brilliant half-century of 56 runs. This was also the 17th half-century of his T20 International cricket career.

With the excellent innings played in Port Elizabeth, Suryakumar Yadav has completed his 2000 runs in T20 format. It took him 56 innings to reach this milestone.

Before Suryakumar Yadav, Virat Kohli had also achieved this special achievement in 56 innings. Apart from these two batsmen, former Pakistan captain Babar Azam and wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan had achieved this feat in 52-52 innings.
