Navdeep Saini ruled out of Duleep Trophy and New Zealand A ODI series due to back injury. The remaining matches and the upcoming three-match ODI series between India A and New Zealand A have been ruled out.

The pacer suffered an injury on the first day of the Duleep Trophy semi-final between North Zone and South Zone in Salem.

This resulting in the South Zone giant being banning for bowling only 11.2 overs during the first innings, with 172.5 overs.

Rishi Dhawan is included in India A team:-

Navdeep Saini Back Injury: Saini will now undergo rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. Rishi Dhawan has been included in the India A team in place of Saini.

Saini was recently in the race to win Kent’s trophy in the Royal London One-Day Cup, playing five matches and taking five wickets at 58.00.

He had a more productive time during his two County Championship appearances for Kent, taking 11 wickets at 23.81, including a match-winning debut five-wicket haul against Warwickshire at Edgbaston.
