NET vs ENG: Netherlands won the toss and sent England to bat in the first of their three ODIs in Amstelveen.

NET vs ENG: Tom Cooper’s return to the Netherlands middle-order, the last ODI in 2013 was played :-

A late team change saw the return of Tom Cooper to the Netherlands middle-order, having played his last ODI in 2013. He replaced Teja Nidamanuru after last-minute submission of his paperwork.

For England, David Willey, along with Reece Topley and Sam Curran, play ahead of Bryden Cars to complete the three-man left-arm seam attack.

Peter Seelar, “Learned a lot from the defeat against West Indies” :-

Netherlands captain Peter Seelaar said his team had learned from their 3-0 series loss to the West Indies; which ended earlier this month, in which the visiting team finished 2-0 in second place.

“It looks like a good wicket and what we’ve seen from the West Indies series is a good ground to chase,” he said.

England captain Eoin Morgan said that if he had won the toss he would have chosen to chase.

“The wicket is looking good and the weather is fine so we don’t expect to see much change in conditions,” he added. “It’s great to have clarity in the direction we’re going, Mott is someone who has been fantastic around the group and he comes with a great reputation.” The game was about to start in hot and fine conditions.
