Netherlands Player retirement

Netherlands Player Pieter seelaar retired. The Netherlands all-rounder, he has been handling the captaincy for the team for 4 consecutive years and has retired in the middle of the series against England.

Pieter seelaar has been captaining the team for the Netherlands since Peter Boren’s retirement in 2018. Has retired in the middle series against England. Peter announced his retirement before England’s run chase in the second ODI. “From 2020 onwards, my back problems have worsened to such an extent that – to my regret – I am no longer able to give everything I’ve got,” he said.

Seelaar finishes his career as Netherlands’ most-capped T20I player, their leading T20I wicket-taker, their second-most-capped ODI player, and their joint-highest ODI wicket-taker. He has played over 300 games for them in all formats across a 17-year career and featured in the Associate nation’s two biggest wins – both against England, at the 2009 and 2014 T20 World Cups.
