According to a report by nzc.nz, veteran New Zealand fast bowler Neil Wagner has announced his retirement from international cricket and will play his last match in the Test series against Australia.

The two-match Test series will start from Thursday and the first match will be played in Wellington while the second will be played in Christchurch. After this news came out, cricket fans got a big shock.

Announcing his retirement, Wagner said, “It is not easy to walk away from something that you have given so much to and from which you have achieved so much, but now the time has come for other people to come forward and take this team forward.”

I have enjoyed every moment of playing Test cricket for the Blackcaps and am proud of what we have achieved as a team.
