Disappointed at not being selected for the Indian team:-

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batsman Nitish Rana on Sunday (May 22) expressed his disappointment over not being picking in the Indian squad for the T20I series against South Africa.

IND v SA 2022: BCCI announced an 18-man squad for the upcoming five-match T20I series. Resting the senior players giving an opportunity to the young players including Arshdeep Singh and Umran Malik to be included in the team.

Dinesh Karthik and Hardik Pandya’s two senior players:-

The team will be led by KL Rahul, with Rishabh Pant as his deputy and two senior players. Dinesh Karthik and Hardik Pandya were also recalling to the squad. Some prominent names failed to make it to the current IPL 2022 despite their performances.

Nitish Rana was one of them. The southpaw had a decent run in IPL 15 and has been making some quality performances for KKR over the years. This year he scored 361 runs at a strike rate of 143.82 with two half-centuries.

IND v SA 2022: After the Indian squad for the South Africa series was revealing, Rana took to his official Twitter account and reacted that he was not named in the 18-man squad.

Rana has played 91 matches in IPL so far and has scored a total of 2181 runs at an average of around 28. The left-handed batsman also represented India in two T20Is during the tour of Sri Lanka last year but failed to set the stage on fire. He could only score 15 runs in two matches.
