New Zealand had to score 20 runs in 6 balls to win the first match against Ireland. New Zealand’s last pair on the field, but on strike was Michael Bracewell, who had scored 103.

He hit fours on the first and second balls of the last over. Michael Bracewell hit a six on the third ball and then hit a four on the fourth ball to get Ireland out of the match. He won the team by hitting a six off the fifth ball.
