NZ vs SCO: New Zealand broke their own record, beat Scotland by 102 runs

NZ vs SCO, 2nd T20: New Zealand beat Scotland by a huge margin of 102 runs in the 2nd T20I to win the two-match T20I series 2-0. Electing to bat after winning the toss, the Kiwi team made their biggest score in T20 cricket.

Kiwi batsmen scored 254 runs :-

In the allotted 20 overs, New Zealand made 254 runs on the board on the basis of half-centuries from Mark Chapman and Michael Bracewell. In front of this score, Scotland’s team could score only 152 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. New Zealand had defeated the hosts by 68 runs in the first T20.

Despite the poor start of New Zealand, scored a big score :-

New Zealand’s start was not good, the last match’s century keeper Finn Allen returned to the pavilion on a personal score of just 6. Dane Cleaver was also dismissed after scoring 28 runs.

For New Zealand, Mark Chapman scored 83 runs in 44 balls with the help of 5 fours and 7 sixes, while Bracewell scored an unbeaten 61 off 25 balls with 8 fours and 3 sixes. In the end, Neesham scored 28 runs in 12 balls to help the team cross 250.

NZ vs SCO: Scotland’s team disintegrated in front of a big score :-

The Scotland team, chasing a huge score of 254, was never seen giving competition to New Zealand in the match. Within 50 runs, the team had lost 4 wickets.

Chris Greaves definitely played the highest innings of 37 runs, but that was not enough for the team’s victory. Jimmy Neesham and Michael Rippon took two wickets each for New Zealand.
