IND vs AUS T20 Series 2023: Only two journalists attended Suryakumar Yadav’s first press conference as captain. After the defeat in the World Cup final, Team India is all set to host Australia for a 5-match T20 series starting from Thursday, November 23.
In The Absence Of Hardik Pandya And Other Senior Players:-
In the absence of regular captain Hardik Pandya and other senior players, Suryakumar Yadav has been selected as the captain.

Suryakumar Yadav’s first press conference as India captain received a warm welcome as only two journalists turned up for the media interaction ahead of India vs Australia 1st T20 in Visakhapatnam.
Didn’t Expect This in His First Press Conference As Captain:-
Veteran cricket journalist, Vimal Kumar took to X to share shocking details from the press conference. Vimal Kumar wrote, “The press conferences in India (during the World Cup) ranged from around 200 media persons to only two people. Shocking! Suryakumar Yadav would not have imagined this in his first press conference as captain. Is this a record for the lowest attendance at a press conference in India?”
Suryakumar Yadav also spoke openly about his feelings after the defeat in the World Cup final on November 19. Suryakumar said, “Obviously it is a bit disappointing. In the end, when you look back at the journey, it was indeed a great campaign.
The Whole Of India Was Very Proud
Every member, not just the players, but the whole of India was very proud of the way we displayed our talent on the field. It was a positive thing, the kind of cricket we played throughout the tournament. And we’re really proud of that.”
Suryakumar Yadav further said, “It is difficult. It will take time. It is not possible for you to wake up the next morning and forget what happened.
