PAK vs WI: Pakistan beat West Indies by five wickets, Babar Azam scored 17th century of his ODI career

PAK vs WI: Pakistan won the first match of the three-match ODI series between Pakistan and West Indies by five wickets. With this win, Pakistan took a 1-0 lead in the series. The second match of the series will be played in Multan on June 10 and Pakistan will win the series after winning this match.

West Indies will have to win the second match to stay in the series :-

West Indies will have to win the second match in any case to stay in the series. Batting first, West Indies scored 305 runs for the loss of eight wickets. Pakistan chased down the target with four balls to spare for the loss of five wickets.

In this match, captain Babar Azam played the best century of 103 runs for Pakistan. At the same time, Khushdil Shah played a stormy innings of 41 runs in 23 balls to give victory to his team. Shai Hope of West Indies also scored 127 runs, but his team could not achieve victory.

PAK vs WI: Brilliant batting of West Indies, took the score to 300 crosses :-

Winning the toss and opting to bat first, West Indies’ start was not special. The team’s first wicket had fallen on the score of nine runs. After this, Shai Hope and Shamrah Brooks together took the innings and put their team in a strong position by sharing 154 runs. Brooks scored 70 and Shai Hope scored 127.

After this, Captain Pooran made 21, Rovman Powell 32 and Romary Shepherd played useful innings of 25 runs to take his team’s score to 305.
Haris Rauf took the highest four wickets for Pakistan. Shaheen Afridi had two wickets, Mohammad Nawaz and Shadab Khan had one wicket each.

PAK vs WI: Babar Azam made the match for Pakistan, Shah got the victory :-

Chasing the big target of 306 runs, the start of Pakistan was also not very good. The team’s first wicket fell on the score of 26 runs. After this Imam-ul-Haq and captain Babar added 103 runs for the second wicket and made the match for their team.

Imam was dismissed after scoring 65 runs, but Babar Azam remained frozen and returned after playing an innings of 103 runs. This was the 17th century of his ODI career. He also shared a 108-run partnership with wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan. Rizwan scored 59 runs.

Khushdil Shah played the finishing innings for his team :-

In the end, Khushdil Shah scored 41 runs in 23 balls to take his team to victory. Alzarri Josep took two wickets for West Indies. Jayden Sales Romario Shepherd and Akli Hossain got a wicket each, but these bowlers could not win the match for their team. None of the West Indies bowlers could impress much.
