Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2021 matches Postponed due to covid- 19 cases

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to postpone the PSL 2021 with immediate effect of covid

The decision was taken after seven covid cases appeared in the competition, which began on 20 February, resulting in a situation beyond the reasonable control of all stakeholders.

The first case reported by the Pakistan Cricket Board was on 1 March, when Islamabad United’s Australian spinner Fawad Ahmed tested positive for the virus hours before the 12th match of the season.

The Pakistan Cricket Board said that two more foreign players, along with a local support-staff member had tested positive and Kamran Khan of Karachi Kings had tested positive also.

Tom Banton of Quetta Gladiator later revealed on his Twitter handle that he was one of those who were among the positive cases.

Pakistan Cricket Board chief executive Wasim Khan, director – commercial Babur Hamid, will hold a media conference at 3 pm at the National Stadium to provide further updates on PSL 2021 postponed.
