T20 World Cup 2022: Pakistan’s Fast Bowler Shaheen Afridi will Take a Break From Cricket After T20 WC. Looking at Shaheen, it seems that he is not yet fully recovered from his injury.

Didn’t take a single wicket for Pakistan:-

Afridi did not take a single wicket for Pakistan in the first two matches of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 being played in Australia. But against the Netherlands he took the wicket.

Afridi, who has been away from cricket due to injury, has been playing straight in the World Cup since July and it looks like he is still not fully recovered.

At the same time, former Indian cricketer Ravi Shastri has given a statement regarding Afridi.

Afridi may take a break from international cricket:-

Shastri has said that Afridi can take a break from international cricket after the T20 World Cup 2022 ends.

Shastri, who is currently commentating in the tournament, said during a conversation on Star Sports, “One thing is clear to me that he (Shaheen) is in pain. By injury, I mean physically.

I don’t think he is a perfect fit. He was brought back a little early. So the expectations from him are a bit high.” Afridi has so far taken only one wicket in the last three matches of the T20 World Cup 2022.

Team management and selectors want to feed him:-

T20 World Cup 2022: He further said, “This is the World Cup and so there is pressure on them. He wants to play, and the team management and selectors want to feed him.

But he’s going to take it slowly. As the tournament progresses, it will get into the rhythm. I see he is going to take a long break after the tournament is over.”
