PSL 2024: Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan himself made a mistake and got angry at the umpire! On the contrary, the thief scolded the policeman…you must have heard this saying. It means blaming others for committing a mistake yourself.

In fact, in the first qualifier of the tournament, Rizwan himself made a mistake and ran into the umpire. The video of Rizwan’s mistake also went viral on social media.

In the first qualifier match played between Multan Sultan and Peshawar Zalmi under the captaincy of Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan made such a mistake due to which the opposing team was given five runs as penalty.

During The 11th Over Of Peshawar Zalmi’s Innings:-

In fact, during the 11th over of Peshawar Zalmi’s innings, Tom Kohler-Cadmore present at the crease played a shot towards the deep final leg on the ball of Khushdil Shah.

Wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan himself ran to catch this ball. Although Rizwan had already taken off the gloves and thrown them on the ground so that he could throw the ball well, which wicketkeepers often do.

But as soon as Rizwan threw the ball towards the stumps, the ball hit the gloves lying nearby. Seeing the ball hitting the gloves, the field umpire gave 5 runs as a penalty. Such a penalty is given according to cricket rule 28.2.1.3.

Anything That Remains On The Field, Such As A Helmet Or Gloves:-

If any thing belonging to the wicketkeeper like helmet or gloves remains on the field, then five runs are given to the opposing team as penalty.

But Rizwan, who made the mistake, started arguing with the umpire Alimdar present on the field.

After debating for a long time, Rizwan finally had to admit that he had made a mistake, due to which his team was punished. The umpire explained well to Rizwan, only then he agreed.
