PSL 2022: Shaheen Afridi’s Effort in Vain, Peshawar Zalmi Beat Lahore Qalandars in The Match
PSL 2022: Shaheen Afridi’s effort in vain, Peshawar Zalmi defeated Lahore Qalandars in the match, the last league match of the 7th season of Pakistan Super League (PSL 2022) was played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Monday.
The Qualified For The Playoffs:-
There was an exciting competition between Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi, who have already qualified for the playoffs.

Apart from defeating Qalandars in the match that lasted till Super Over, Zalmi finished third in the points table. Zalmi’s captain Wahab Riaz was adjudged man of the match for his economical bowling.
Afridi’s Performance in The Last Over:-
Batting first in this match full of drama and thrill, Peshawar Zalmi scored 158 for 7 in 20 overs thanks to the battling innings of Shoaib Malik (32) and Haider Ali (25).
In reply, Lahore Qalandars scored 138 for 8 in 19 overs and their chances of winning the match were almost over. Fawad Ahmed was present at the crease along with captain Shaheen Afridi in the last over.
It seemed that Zalmi would win this match easily but Shaheen Afridi batted with 3 sixes and a four in Mohammad Umar’s over and took the match to the super over by scoring a total of 23 runs.
Wahab Riaz Gave 5 Runs in The Super Over:-
Batting first, Qalandars scored just 5 runs in the Super Over. Zalmi’s captain Wahab Riaz fumed and did not give any opportunity to Harry Brook to play the big shots.

Apart from this, Zalmi achieved the objective on the second ball itself. For Zalmi, Shoaib Malik gave his team a great victory by hitting four consecutive balls of Shaheen Afridi.
