PSL 2023: The title defenders are hosting the Lahore Qalandars at the Multan Cricket Stadium. The most anticipated tournament in the domestic calendar is upon us.

Winners and Finalists of the 2021 Edition:-

The HBL Pakistan Super League gets underway tomorrow, February 13, with Multan Sultans, winners of the 2021 edition, and finalists of the final, hosting title defenders Lahore Qalandars at the Multan Cricket Stadium.

Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi will also host matches in the eighth edition of the HBL PSL, which promises to be as exciting as the previous seven.

Karachi’s National Bank Cricket Arena will play host to the second match of the tournament when the hosts Karachi Kings take on Peshawar Zalmi. This match and the first match of the tournament in 2000 will start with the toss at 1930.

Quetta Gladiators begin their campaign at Multan on February 15 and Islamabad United play their first match of the season at Karachi on February 16.

HBL PSL Effect

HBL PSL was conceiving with the idea of providing a platform to young and budding cricketers who can get a taste of international cricket – by playing high-quality cricket in a pressure environment – before graduating to the top level.

Islamabad United Captain Shadab Khan: “Whatever I am today is only because of HBL PSL. I had entered this competition as an emerging category player.

But this tournament gave me the opportunity. Belief and have the confidence to grow and develop as a cricketer and I am happy that I am a platinum-category player now.

Karachi Kings Captain Imad Wasim said, “HBL PSL is one of the best leagues in the world, very close to our hearts.

We look forward to this league for 10 months during which we prepare, plan and set goals.

Then, we enter this great event to help achieve our collective objectives and win over our sides and the cycle continues.

Lahore Qalandars Captain Shaheen Afridi: “I can’t wait for HBL PSL to start.

It is a fantastic tournament that brings out some great cricketers every year and we international players get to play some very exciting and competitive cricket.

Multan Sultans captain Mohammad Rizwan: “The philosophy of Multan Sultans is simple to play as champions regardless of opposition or result. As a result, we are not afraid of results.

Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam said, “Every HBL PSL edition is super exciting for me. Because of its competitive nature.

Every year is a different challenge as the players with whom you share the Pakistan dressing room throughout the year become your opponents.

Sarfaraz Ahmed, captain of Quetta Gladiators said, “HBL PSL has played a very important role in the development of cricket in Pakistan.

It has provided exposure to our players and they have learned how to handle the pressure of cameras and crowds, which is very important to develop as an international cricketers.
