R Ashwin Made A Big Achievement in His Name in The First Test

IND vs AUS 1st Test 2023: R Ashwin made a big achievement in his name in the first test. He equaled Anil Kumble by taking five wickets.

Ashwin (Ravichandran Ashwin) took five wickets during the third innings in the first (IND vs AUS 1st Test) Test against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Along with this, apart from bowling, he has performed brilliantly with his batting.

The Batting first scored only 177 runs

The Australian team had scored only 177 runs while batting first. After that, the Indian team scored 400 runs while batting and took a lead of 223 runs.

In the third innings, R Ashwin single-handedly sent half the Australians to the pavilion. He has made Australian batsmen Warner, Khawaja, Marnus, Peter and Carey his victims.

With this, Ashwin has equaled former cricketer Anil Kumble in terms of taking the most five wickets in Test cricket as soon as he took five wickets.
