India tour of Bangladesh: Ravindra Jadeja out of Test series against Bangladesh due to injury, BCCI may give chance to Suryakumar Yadav. Injury-ravaged all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is set to be ruled out of the upcoming Test and ODI series against Bangladesh (IND vs BAN).

The 33-Year-Old Player to return next Year:-

Jadeja, who last played for India in August, was named in the squad on the basis of fitness but the 33-year-old will undergo rehabilitation before making a comeback next year.

The BCCI is ready to name a replacement, which includes Suryakumar Yadav.

a BCCI source familiar with the development told PTI on the condition of anonymity. “Jadeja has been to NCA on several occasions for his check-ups and rehab.

However, as of now, it is unlikely that he will be fit for the Bangladesh series. Anyway, the former selection committee headed by Chetan Sharma kept him on the team on the basis of fitness.

Ravindra Jadeja has been ruled out of India’s group-stage match vs Hong Kong in the Asia Cup after the all-rounder underwent surgery for the same.

Unlikely to be fit for the series

The 33-year-old missed India’s T20 World Cup campaign and Cricbuzz reports that the star all-rounder is unlikely to be fit for the series against Bangladesh.

With this, India will play three ODIs and two Tests against the Bangla Tigers next month, and Jadeja was named in the squad on the basis of fitness.

The Chetan Sharma-led committee has now been sacked, but Cricbuzz reports that the four-member panel is still working as usual. A replacement could be announced in the coming week, with India A squad yet to be announced.

Rohit Sharma’s team has already included three spinners in their squad, which includes Ravichandran Ashwin, Axar Patel, and Kuldeep Yadav.

A similar replacement will see India A’s Saurabh Kumar make the squad after being called up earlier this year. He took five wickets in the ‘A’ Test series against New Zealand A in Bengaluru.

However, Suryakumar Yadav is also set to be considered after being overlooking in the previous selection. SKY has been in top form in T20Is and is currently atop the world No. 1 ranking since 2022. He recently scored his second T20I hundred in tough conditions at Mount Maunganui.

Surya was calling into the squad for the England series. But Shreyas Iyer was next in the pecking order for the Edgbaston Test.

There is a belief that his form can be using in the longer formats of the game, with India yet to nail down the number 6 spot since Ajinkya Rahane’s sacking.

The Men in Blue have two Tests and three ODIs to play in Bangladesh and a full-strength team led by Rohit Sharma is ready to tour the neighboring country.

India will play two Tests in Chittagong on December 14-18 and Mirpur on December 22-26 after a three-match ODI series in the first week of next month.

India is still in search of a place in the World Test Championship final, trailing Australia and South Africa.

Rohit Sharma’s team will have to win all 6 matches to reach the final to be playing at Lord’s in June.
