IPL 2024: RCB is lucky that Pete Cummins was not bought and SRH bought him, why did the former Indian cricketer say this? This time in the IPL 2024 auction, a lot of money was spent on Australia’s two fast bowlers Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins.
Before the auction, it was expected that RCB would include one of the players from Cummins and Starc in their team. No matter how much money RCB has to spend on that. But this did not happen.
Pat Cummins was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mitchell Starc was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders. After which the veteran cricketer of Team India gave his reaction and said that it is good that Royal Challengers Bangalore did not buy Pat Cummins.

‘RCB is Lucky’
Former Team India cricketer and current commentator Aakash Chopra, while speaking on his YouTube channel, said that RCB had released three of its special bowlers before the auction, after which they wanted an excellent bowler.
Although RCB wanted to buy Pat Cummins, it was good that RCB did not buy Pat Cummins by spending Rs 20 crores. If this had happened then the RCB team would have become very weak.
Pat Cummins would have been thrashed in a small stadium-like M Chinnaswamy. Which is not good at all for RCB. Now RCB should thank Sunrisers Hyderabad.
The Spin Bowler Will Be Missed:-
Aakash Chopra said that there is still not much depth in RCB’s bowling. Their spin bowling department is a bit weak.
Till last year, RCB had a great spin bowler like Wanindu Hasaranga. But now they do not have any quality spin bowlers except Karan Sharma.
RCB Bought These Players in The Auction:-
Everyone’s eyes were on RCB in the auction, because before the auction there were reports that this time RCB would like to spend crores of rupees on Mitchell Starc and include him in their team.
