Retirement: Two Pakistani Cricketers Announced Their Retirement Before The ODI WC. Pakistan fast bowler Ehsan Adil and all-rounder Hammad Azam have announced their retirement.

Confirmed the retirement of these players on Sunday:-

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed the retirement of these players on Sunday. Ehsan, 30, made his Test debut in February 2013 against South Africa at Centurion. He played two more Tests and six One Day Internationals till 2015.

He took 5 wickets in Tests and 4 wickets in ODIs. Ehsan was a player of the Pakistan squad at the 2012 ICC Men’s U19 Cricket World Cup in Australia.

He was also a part of the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup squad in Australia and New Zealand. He played his last match for the team against Australia in the quarter-finals in Adelaide, which Australia won by six wickets.

Both the cricketers will be in action for MI New York:-

The 32-year-old all-rounder Hammad Azam featured for Pakistan in the 2010 ICC Men’s U19 Cricket World Cup in New Zealand.

He played 11 ODIs (80 runs and two wickets) and five T20Is (34 runs) from 2011 to 2015. His domestic career lasted from December 2008 to June 2021, during which he played 107 first-class, 114 List A, and 98 T20Is.

Azam was once regarded as one of the brightest talents in Pakistan but failed to cement his place in the team despite several chances.

PCB congratulates both for their services to cricket:-

The PCB congratulated the duo for their services to cricket and wished them all the best in their future endeavors.

Both the cricketers will be in action for MI New York in the inaugural season of Major League Cricket (MLC) this month.

Pakistani fast bowler Haris Rauf and all-rounder Shadab Khan will represent the San Francisco Unicorns, while young Pakistani cricketer Saif Badar will play for the Los Angeles Knight Riders.

Two other Pakistani cricketers Saad Ali and Mukhtar Ahmed will represent the Washington Freedom in the league.
