Roger Twose as new Cricket Director of New Zealand
Former New Zealand player Roger Twose appointed as new Cricket Director of New Zealand, He will be Replacing Greg Barclay.
Roger Twose played 16 Tests and 87 One Day Internationals for New Zealand between 1995 and 2001
Roger represented Central Districts, Northern Districts, and Wellington along with several District Associations, giving him first-hand experience of the wider cricket community in New Zealand.
His performances against India and South Africa by being New Zealand’s most successful batsman at the 1999 Cricket World Cup, scoring 318 runs at an average of 79.50.
He was a pivotal member of the team that won the Champions Trophy in 2000 and was ranked 2nd in the world for ODI batsmen that same year.
After retiring from cricket, Roger joined the National Bank, working his way up to senior management level
Roger is a past-chair of the NZC’s Players Association and has served on NZC’s High Performance Advisory Group for the last 10 months.
