IND vs AUS 2023: Rohit Breaks Silence On Shami Being Targeted For Chanting Jai Shri Ram. India captain Sharma said that he was completely unaware of the chants of Jai Shri Ram aimed at Mohammed Shami during the fourth Test in Ahmedabad.
Fans also spoke a lot against it on social media:-
During the start of the Test match (IND vs AUS 4th Test), some fans targeted Shami because of his religion, after which fans on social media also spoke against it.

Rohit chose to avoid the question as BCCI guidelines do not allow players to engage with trolls, as it would only add fuel to the fire.
I am totally clueless about chanting Jai Shri Ram for Shami:-
Rohit Sharma said, “I am absolutely clueless about the chanting of Jai Shri Ram for Shami. I have heard it for the first time only. I don’t know what happened there.”
“We do not engage with trolls, and engaging with them will only encourage them. An official said the platforms have already removed many such comments.
The BCCI made this statement when Shami faced the wrath of fans due to his dismal performance against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup.
Kohli also remained silent on this matter:-
At that time, the then captain Virat Kohli had also remained silent on this matter and now Rohit also avoided the question of chanting Jai Shri Ram by targeting Shami.
The matter is likely to be dealt with by the GCA as there is no place for such behavior in the game.
Meanwhile, India lifted the Border Gavaskar Trophy after winning the series 2–1. Thus India became the team to win four consecutive Border Gavaskar Trophy.
