The Performance Of Pakistan’s Senior Players is Under Question:-

In some reports, there were reports of a rift between Shaheen Afridi and Babar Azam. At the same time, after the huge defeat against arch-rival India, the performance of senior players of Pakistan including Fakhar Zaman and Shadab Khan is under question.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) held a meeting on Thursday to review Pakistan’s defeat in the Asia Cup.

Defeat Due To Bad Strategy:-

According to Geo News sources, the review meeting chaired by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Zaka Ashraf was attended by captain Babar Azam and director of cricket Mickey Arthur.

Babar admitted that he had to face defeat in the tournament due to poor strategy. Babar further said that the constant travel and weather affected the team’s preparations.

Request Not To Remove Him From Captaincy:-

During this, Babar was seen pleading not to be removed from the captaincy. He asked not to be replaced as captain. There was also a request to keep Shadan Khan as the vice-captain.

The captain said that the team was on the path to victory before the Asia Cup. However, Arthur admitted that there are issues related to fitness and the middle order. However, no plan has been given regarding the World Cup.

Sources said that during the meeting, fast bowling coach Morne Morkel suggested appointing a separate coach for the spinners.
