S. Sreesanth Again FIR Registered Against Former Bowler in Fraud Case

Sreesanth FIR Lodged: S. Sreesanth again FIR registered against a former bowler in a cheating case. Former bowler of the Indian cricket team S. Sreesanth has a long association with controversies.

No matter where he lives, some new controversy always finds him. He was given a life ban after being implicated in IPL spot-fixing.

However, that ban was later lifted but his age had increased by then. Now this star player, who was a part of the 2007 and 2011 World Cup team, has again come into controversy. Kerala Police has registered an FIR against him.

What Was The Whole Matter?

If agency input is to be believed then S. A total of three people including Sreesanth have been accused of fraud. This matter is said to be of April 2019.

According to the information, Rajeev Kumar, S. is planning to build a sports academy in Kollur, Karnataka. Sreesanth and Venkatesh Kini had taken Rs 18.70 lakh from a youth on 25 April 2019.

The name of that young man is Sarish Gopalan who is a resident of Chunda and he has complained against these three in this matter.

A Case Has Been Registered Under Section 420 Of IPC:-

The complainant said that he had invested this money in the construction of a sports academy. He hoped that he would also become its partner. After this complaint, a case was registered against all three people including Sreesanth under section 420 of IPC.

Under this, all three have been accused of fraud. Sreesanth is the third accused in this case. It remains to be seen what action the police will take on this. This entire matter is from the Northern District of Kerala.

Sreesanth’s Old Association With Controversies:-

Sreesanth was involved in the 2013 IPL spot-fixing. After which the ban on him was lifted in 2023. Then during his career, he was also embroiled in a slapping controversy with Harbhajan Singh.

Apart from this, due to his aggressive nature during his career, his relationship with controversies always remained strong. He also appeared in the TV reality show Bigg Boss and there too he was seen in many controversies.
