SA T20 WC 2022: South Africa To Replace Marco Jensen As Dwaine Pretorius For World Cup. Pretorius has been ruled out of the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

Dwaine has Played a vital role with both bat and ball:-

Because he got injured while playing against India in the bilateral T20I series. Pretorius has played a key role for South Africa in recent years with both bat and ball.

He will miss out on playing in the T20 World Cup after he fractured his left thumb during the recent T20 International series against India.

Announced as a Replacement in a 15-Player Team:-

Marco Janssen, who was initially named in reserve, has been announced as a replacement in the 15-player squad that will travel to Australia for the T20 World Cup.

Meanwhile, Lizaad Williams is called in to replace Jensen among the traveling reserves. Pretorius had an impressive run in the previous edition of the T20 World Cup,

who finished as South Africa’s joint-highest wicket-taker (nine) with the best bowling average (11.22).

Death-bowling duties left to Jensen by Pretorius:-

Despite playing only one T20I, Jensen is tasked with filling the void of taking on the death-bowling duties left by Pretorius.

South Africa will play their first match of the T20 World Cup against the winner of Qualifier B1 in Hobart on 24 October.

Before the start of the tournament, they will play two warm-up matches – against New Zealand on 17 October and against Bangladesh on 19 October, both in Brisbane.
