Former Team India veteran player Salim Durani said goodbye to the world at the age of 88.

He took his last breath in Jamnagar, Gujarat where he was fighting cancer. Whereas Salim Durrani was born in Afghanistan.

While he played cricket for India for many years. Along with this, he was awarded many awards, among which Arjuna Award is also included.

Salim Durrani played his Test match for India on 1 January 1960 against Australia. This was his debut match and he played cricket for India for almost 13 years.

Salim earned a lot of fame by bowling well:-

During this, he scored 1202 runs in 29 Tests at an average of 25.04. During this, 1 century and 7 half-centuries were also made with his bat.

At the same time, he was such a batsman who used to hit sixes on the demand of the fans. Apart from this, he earned a lot of names by bowling excellently.

Durrani has taken 75 wickets in his international career. He was a left-arm spinner bowler.

At the same time, he played his last Test match against England on 6 February 1973. The amazing thing was that he played his debut match and last match at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.

Due to this, he also acted in a Bollywood film, at that time Durrani was accompanied by star actress Parveen Babi in that film.
