Sarfaraz Khan Or Rajat Patidar Will Get A Chance To Debut
IND vs ENG 2nd Test Series 2024: Sarfaraz Khan or Rajat Patidar will get a chance to debut. The second Test match of the series will be played between India and England in Visakhapatnam from 2 February. Team India is behind 0-1 in the five-match series.

Choosing the final 11 of the team for this test match has become a big headache for the coach and captain. Virat Kohli was already out, so KL Rahul is also out now.

However, the team has young players like Rajat Patidar and Sarfaraz Khan. Both of them have scored a lot of runs in domestic cricket. But on Wednesday, Team India’s batting coach Vikram Rathod indicated in the press conference that only one person will get the chance.
What Both Have Done in Domestic Cricket:-
Batting coach Vikram Rathod said in his press conference, ‘Look, it will be a very difficult choice to include Sarfaraz and Rajat in the playing 11 or not. Because we all have seen what both of them have done in domestic cricket.
It will be very difficult to choose anyone.’ What he said further indicated that only one of Rajat or Sarfaraz will be able to make a place in the team.
Vikram Rathore further said, ‘There are many young batsmen in the team who have not played much Test cricket. Therefore, we will have to have some patience with them. Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Shreyas Iyer are the kind of batsmen who will score runs in the times to come.
Either Sarfaraz Or Patidar Will Replace Rahul:-
The clear message to them is that play good cricket but not worry about the results.’ That means it is clear that both Gill and Iyer are going to play. That means either Sarfaraz or Patidar will replace Rahul.
See, if we talk about statistics and batting ability in the middle order, then Sarfaraz Khan is ahead of Rajat Patidar in this matter. The management had given preference to Patidar as the first replacement for Virat Kohli.
