Shaheen Shah Afridi To Return From Injury And Join Pak Squad For Warm-Up Matches

Shaheen Shah Afridi will return from injury and join the Pak squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia 2022 ahead of the warm-up matches.

Overseeing the PCB Medical Advisory Committee:-

Shaheen Afridi will join the Pakistan squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia after undergoing his rehabilitation program under the supervision of the PCB Medical Advisory Committee.

He will be available for selection for the warm-up matches against England and Afghanistan to be held on October 17 and 19 respectively.

“I am very excited about the prospect of joining the national team for the T20 World Cup and playing my part in the campaign,” Shaheen said.

Don’t be a part of some grueling and exciting matches:-

“It has been a difficult period for me to be away from the sport and the team I love. Most of all, don’t be a part of some grueling and exciting matches.

“I have been bowling trouble-free six to eight overs with full run-up and pace for the last 10 days. While I have enjoyed bowling and batting in the nets.

Nothing can replace the atmosphere of the match and I can’t wait to be in that setting. Shaheen’s match fitness will be assessed by the team management during the two practice matches.

Left for London to complete the rehabilitation:-

Shaheen Afridi had left for London to complete rehabilitation after suffering a right knee ligament injury that ruled him out of the Asia Cup.

“It has been a rigorous and challenging rehabilitation program, but I have thoroughly enjoyed it. To be honest, I feel fitter than ever and can’t wait to put on the play kit.
