“He was discharging the same evening (Friday),” the CWI said. “She is now resting comfortably under the care and supervision of the CWI medical team. She is in good spirits and grateful for all the well wishes.”
Chasing Bangladesh’s objective, Connell, fielding at midwicket, fell on the ground in the 47th over. Teammates and medical professionals were immediating with him, and he was quickly taking to the hospital in an ambulance.
A True Nature of The Disease:-
In a positive sign, she managed to get up and get into the ambulance with little assistance. The exact nature of his illness was not clear.
At that point, the match was on a knife-edge with Bangladesh’s last-wicket pair trying to score 13 runs off 19 balls.
The game resumed shortly after the incident. And Stephanie Taylor took the last wicket to register her team’s last over victory.
“It was sad to see him go down,” Taylor said of Connell at the post-match presentation ceremony. “But we expect to look on the bright side.
A Changed The Speed:-
It was time for us to regroup, we came back and switched the pace.”
Shamilia Connell bowled three wicketless overs in the match, which West Indies won by four runs to move to third place on the points table.
