Shikhar Dhawan is busy preparing for World Cup 2023, know what is his complete plan

Shikhar Dhawan: Team India’s left-handed opener Shikhar Dhawan is a part of the team only in One Day International cricket. His limited overs cricket statistics make him an important member of the team.

Shikhar Dhawan’s eyes on next year’s World Cup :-

Over the years, some youngsters have made their mark and the left-handed opener has been left out of India’s T20I plan. In such a situation, now Shikhar Dhawan’s eyes are on the ODI World Cup to be held in India next year.

Dhawan is focusing more on ODI cricket :-

Dhawan himself is also focusing more on ODI cricket and without a doubt his ultimate goal is to achieve success in next year’s ODI World Cup, which will be held in India.

Apart from this, Dhawan will also play in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy along with the IPL to keep himself in good shape till the World Cup.

Shikhar Dhawan said, “I understand the need to prepare well before the tour” :-

Ahead of the ODI series against England, Shikhar Dhawan said, “I understand the need to prepare well before the tour, so I make sure to focus on my basics and the way I prepare.

I have been training for the ODI series against England for a long time and I am sure that in the coming matches, I will be in good shape.”

Shikhar Dhawan wants to play as many matches for India before the World Cup :-

The 36-year-old further said, “My focus is on next year’s World Cup and for that I want to play as many matches for India and do well there.

There will also be an IPL in between, so I will try to do well there and play domestic ODIs and T20Is as well.” Dhawan will also be seen captaining the West Indies.

Dhawan played the last match against West Indies in Ahmedabad on February 11 :-

The last match Shikhar Dhawan has played for the Indian team was against West Indies in Ahmedabad on 11 February, which was an ODI. In such a situation, after five months, he will join the team and will want to give his best.

He said, “I have experience. Also, I am quite confident about my basics and technique, which are important aspects for an opener.
