Shoaib Malik’s wife Sania Mirza announced her retirement after reaching Australia, where the Australian Open (Australian Open 2023) starting on 16th will be her last Grand Slam tournament.

Sania will retire after the tournament in February:-

Indian female tennis player Sania herself has confirmed her last match. She will retire after the tournament in February.

In an interview given to a website, Sania Mirza said that she had thought of retirement only after the WTA Finals last year.

But due to an elbow injury, I had to withdraw from several other tournaments including the US Open. I don’t want to get sidelined due to injury and say goodbye to my career. I live on my own terms. For this reason, I will retire after the Dubai Tennis Championships.

Australian Open will play before the last tournament:-

Sania Mirza has reached Australia. Australian Open 2023 is starting from 16th, where Sania Mirza will play in doubles. Sania Mirza is India’s most successful female tennis player. She currently lives in Dubai with her husband.

Sania’s husband is Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik, although there was news of their separation in the past. Both are also hosting a show, but till now there is no denial from both of them about the news of divorce going on for many days.

The tournament will start on February 19:-

Sania Mirza has told a website that she will retire after the Dubai Tennis Championships to be held in Dubai. This tournament will start on 19 February.

It will be a WTA 1000 tournament. Sania Mirza will be a strong contender for the title in this tournament. Her last match will depend on where she reaches in the tournament.
