The batsman is suffering from back pain and could miss the last two days of the ongoing game.

Shreyas Iyer, who batted at number six in the third Test, did not come out to bat in that position after Todd Murphy dismissed Ravindra Jadeja in the first session of the fourth day.

Sreekar Bharath came down to bat at number 6 before the reason for the move was confirmed.

India’s strong reply:–

Talking about the fourth Test, after Australia’s brilliant performance in the first innings, India has given a befitting reply with the bat.

The visiting team won the toss and decided to bat first, scoring 480 runs in their first innings.

Khawaja scored 180 and Green scored 114:-

In-form openers Usman Khawaja and Cameron Green led the way with the bat, scoring fine hundreds. Khawaja scored 180 and Green scored 114 runs.

The hosts are leading the series 2-1 and a draw would be enough to win their fourth consecutive Test series against Australia.
