SL vs PAK 1st Test Day 1: Pakistan bowled out Sri Lanka for 222 runs in their first innings in the third session on the first day of the first Test at the Galle International Cricket Stadium on Saturday, thanks to a brilliant performance by their bowlers.

Afridi has so far taken 99 wickets in Test cricket and is now only one wicket away from scoring a special ‘century’ in terms of wickets.

SL vs PAK: Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bat :-

Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bat but the team’s batsmen could not live up to the expectations. Captain Dimuth Karunaratne (01) was bowled by Shaheen Afridi. Then Oshada Fernando and Kusal Mendis put on 49 runs for the second wicket.

Sri Lanka lost three wickets in just eight runs :-

Sri Lanka then lost three wickets in just eight runs, taking their score from 60 for one to 68 for four. After lunch, Dinesh Chandimal 12 and Dhananjay de Silva started playing after eight runs. Chandimal, however, scored a half-century of 76 runs off 115 balls and was his team’s top scorer in the first innings.

SL vs PAK: With 38 runs of Thikshna reached Sri Lanka beyond 200 :-

De Silva got out after scoring 14 runs. After this the hosts kept on losing wickets at regular intervals. In the end, Mahish Thikshana scored 38 runs in 65 balls with the help of four fours and a six to take Sri Lanka past 200. Thikshana along with Kasun Rajita put on 45 runs for the final wicket.

Afridi took 4 wickets in the first innings :-

Shaheen Shah Afridi took 4 wickets in the first innings for Pakistan. Apart from them, Hasan Ali and Yasir Shah took two wickets each while Naseem Shah and Mohammad Nawaz took one wicket each.
