SAW vs ENGW: South Africa’s Marizanne Kapp Scored 150 Runs in 213 Balls in The First Test, England’s Kate Cross lauded the Marizanne Kapp’s “excellent” 150 as spectators scored 284 runs on day one of the summer-only Test in Taunton Make it.
The 150 runs in 213 balls with the first test century:-
Kapp came to the crease with South Africa at 45 for four and got his team out of trouble with a 213-ball 150 with a first Test century.

SAW vs ENGW: With the international retirements of Anya Shrubsole and Katherine Brunt’s decision to focus on white-ball cricket, Cross was assigned a new role as a starting bowler.
Ended with four wickets, while England’s first trio of Issie Wong, Lauren Bell, and Ellis Davidson-Richards all took wickets.
“It got tough (fielding), there was definitely a phase when the ball wasn’t working as well and we had to work harder, but I thought the cup was absolutely outstanding,” Cross said.
We haven’t played much test cricket:-
SAW vs ENGW: “To say we haven’t played much Test cricket, I mean it’s probably been eight years since he played.
“The way she manipulated the field, how he influenced others, how Marizanne played us, how she managed to keep the strike.
It was as if she had played Test cricket for years, which is a testament to how good a player she is.
“It was really difficult when Marizanne was looking to score and attack and we needed something special to get her out.
Tammy (Beaumont) took that catch which was a brilliant one so I thought she had an absolutely wonderful day.
“It is very special to score 150 runs in Test match cricket”:-
SAW vs ENGW: Despite the impressive performance of the Cup, no one else in the South African team could score a significant score.
Anneke Bosch’s next highest score was 30 – despite having an easy batting day throughout the day after England won the toss and elected to bowl.
The South African all-rounder admitted that she was not confident when she came to the crease.
“I was so nervous coming into this game,” Kapp said:-
“Even in the practice match, my batting played like I was playing a T20. So I am happy from day one.”
In her only other Test match against India in 2014. Kapp scored only 19 runs in two innings including a duck. And admitted that impressed him at Somerset.

Marizanne continued: “When I first started I was very nervous, especially since the first Test match was an absolute nightmare.
“But I think you have to focus a little bit more now. It’s still cricket.
“Yeah, it’s challenging, I’m not going to lie. But I think it gets a little easier if you’ve done well or take it session by session.”
