Sri Lankan Batsman Danushka Gunathilaka Arrested by Sydney Police

Gunathilaka Arrest: Sri Lankan batsman Danushka Gunathilaka was arrested by Sydney Police, and accused of raping against Sri Lankan batsman. Danushka Gunathilaka has reportedly been arrested in Sydney yesterday.

According to Sri Lanka Cricket sources, Danushka Gunathilaka has been arrested on the complaint of a woman.

He has been arrested after the game when the Sri Lankan team played against England (SL vs ENG) in Sydney.

At the same time, this player, who was traveling with the Sri Lankan team for the T20 World Cup in Australia, was ruled out of the tournament due to injury.

However, he remained with the team in Australia despite Ashen Bandara coming in his place.

The charge involved having sex without consent:-

As reported by The Australian, the Sri Lankan star has been charged with four counts of sexual harassment. The charge includes having sex without consent.

According to Australian media reports, a 29-year-old woman whom Danushka met through Gunathilaka dating app has accused him of sexual harassment.

The incident happened earlier this week at a residence in Sydney. The Sri Lankan cricketer was arresting from the team hotel last night. He will be producing in court later today.
