Sri Lanka’s star all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga achieved a special achievement in T20 and made a place in the elite list. Hasaranga is known for his miraculous bowling.
Hasaranga Made Another Record in Its Name:-
Wanindu is achieving new heights one after the other in his career. On Monday he made another record in his name. Wanindu Hasaranga has completed 100 wickets in his T20 career. With this, he created a big record.

Wanindu Hasaranga became only the second Sri Lankan bowler to take 100 T20 International wickets. With this, Hasaranga became the 11th player overall and the second Sri Lankan bowler after Lasith Malinga to achieve this feat.
Hasaranga is currently the captain of the T20 team. He achieved this feat during the second T20I match played against Afghanistan in Dambulla. Hasaranga made his debut in 2019.
Malinga Achieved This Feat in His 76th T20 International Match:-
Before Wanindu, Sri Lankan bowler Lasith Malinga had crossed the mark of more than 100 wickets. Malinga achieved this feat in his 76th T20 International match. Whereas if we talk about Hasaranga, he achieved this record in his 63rd T20I.
Hasaranga now has 101 wickets in 61 innings of 63 T20 International matches. With this, he has become the second player after Rashid Khan to take the fastest 100 T20I wickets. Khan had crossed the mark of 100 wickets in 53 matches.
Rashid Khan’s name tops the list of bowlers who have taken the fastest 100 T20I wickets. Khan had made this record in 53 matches.
He is The Second Bowler To Achieve This Feat:-
Wanindu Hasaranga is the second bowler to achieve this feat after 63 matches. Whereas Mark Adair achieved this feat in 72 matches, Lasith Malinga in 76, and Ish Sodhi in 78 matches.
If we talk about the second match played between Sri Lanka and Afghanistan, in this match, Sri Lanka scored 187 runs by losing 6 wickets in 20 overs.
Apart from Sadira Samarawickrama’s 51 runs, captain Wanindu Hasaranga scored an unbeaten 22 runs in 9 balls, hitting 1 four and 2 sixes. After this Hasaranga also did wonders in bowling. He took 2 wickets for 19 runs in 4 overs.

Afghanistan’s batsmen had no success against Sri Lanka’s bowling and they were bundled out for just 115 runs in 17 overs. In this way, Sri Lanka won the second match by a huge margin of 72 runs. Sri Lanka has taken a 2-0 lead in the three-match series by defeating Afghanistan in the second T20 match.
