Sunil Gavaskar: Hardik Pandya will become regular captain after WC 2023. The three-match ODI series between India and Australia (IND vs AUS) is starting on 17 March.
Hardik Pandya in place of Rohit in the first match:-
IND vs AUS ODI Series: In the first match of this series, Hardik Pandya will take charge of Team India in place of Rohit Sharma.

On the other hand, Rohit will stay away from this match due to family reasons. But before that former veteran Sunil Gavaskar has predicted about Hardik Pandya.
He says that after the World Cup 2023, Pandya can become the regular captain of the ODI format.
Sunil Gavaskar said that he is very impressed with the way Hardik Pandya captained Gujarat Titans and then India in the T20 format.
Pandya will also become the ODI captain of the country:-
He further said, “I believe that if Hardik wins the first match against Australia in Mumbai, then after the ODI World Cup 2023, he will also become the ODI captain of the country.
Gavaskar gave his statement on the Star Sports show. He said that Pandya’s presence in the middle order is very important for India. In this situation, he can become an impact full and game-changer player for India.
Sunil Gavaskar further said in this show, Hardik Pandya is such a player who is always ready to take responsibility.

Hardik Pandya led the debut team Gujarat Titans to the title in the 15th season of IPL last year.
